Every year, the Australian Tourism Awards recognise the best of the best—those operators shaping the future of travel through innovation, sustainability, and unforgettable guest experiences. At the 40th anniversary event, Eco Structures clients once again featured prominently, particularly in the Unique Accommodation and Ecotourism categories.
We’re incredibly proud to have partnered with six outstanding operators who were honoured on the national stage this year. Their wins speak volumes—not just about their vision and delivery, but about what’s possible when thoughtful design meets low-impact construction. Located just outside Adelaide, this popular beachfront park was recognised for modernising its facilities while prioritising sustainability. Our modular approach helped enable timely upgrades that balanced scalability with environmental sensitivity.
A Legacy of Tourism Excellence
Our connection to the Australian Tourism Awards runs deep. In fact, it began with our Director, Karl Plunkett, and the original Eco Beach Resort in Broome—a ground-breaking project that went on to win Gold three years in a row and was officially inducted into the Australian Tourism Hall of Fame in 2013.
That legacy continues today through our work with leading operators across Australia. By co-designing modular, low-impact structures with our clients, we’re helping to bring bold ideas to life—experiences that inspire, educate, and endure. These recent award results reflect that shared vision.
The Future of Tourism is Thoughtful, Sustainable & Guest-Centric
This year’s results speak to a broader movement in Australian travel. Nature-based accommodation is no longer niche—it’s leading the way. Travellers are actively seeking authentic, connected experiences in extraordinary locations, and the operators being recognised are those who can deliver both comfort and conscience.
Behind each of these celebrated projects is a team committed to building with purpose. Whether it’s glamping under the stars, staying on the reef, or escaping to the outback, Eco Structures enables it through prefab precision, sustainable materials, and rapid, no-concrete construction.
