Option 1 | The most cost-effective way to install your Eco Structure is to follow our detailed instructions and build yourself. |
Option 2 | We can put you in contact with local installers who can erect the structures in accordance with our instructions. We have a list of preferred installers that we’d be happy to share with you and provide a turn-key price for this solution. |
Option 3 | We have experience trainers who can assist you with the installation process as a reasonable cost. |
Option 4 | Where necessary, we can come to site and provide full supervision of the installation process and project manage the complete entire install. In this case we will manage the installation of the Eco Structures only, everything else is under your control. |
Option 5 | If required we can manage a complete build, including all services and installation. In this case, we’d deal with all contractors. This is approximately 15% more. |
Site Preparation
Please ensure the project site is cleared and free of obstacles.
The site should be level within 100mm.
Confirm that the ground is appropriate for eco anchor installation.
Provide necessary heavy machinery, such as a crane, bobcat, or telehandler.
Ensure all materials are located within 5 meters of the individual sites.
Provide power within 30 meters of the site or arrange for an on-site generator.
If required, please supply temporary fencing for safety.
Arrange appropriate accommodation and 3 meals a day for all construction workers within 10kms of site.
We’ll go over the project’s installation drawings with your preferred builder, confirm delivery schedules, and chat about site access and safety protocols. Making sure everything’s set for a smooth and successful install!
Prepare the site by clearing a 1m perimeter around the floor plan footprint. This ensures a clean and accessible space, ready for the next phase of the project.
We’d love for our clients to review the General Arrangement (GA) drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM) to make sure we’ve got all the pieces in place. It’s just a quick check to ensure everything’s ready for a smooth installation!
Make sure all materials are neatly positioned within 5m of their respective sites. All steel should be close by and easy to grab to ensure a fast and smooth build.

Before the construction team arrives, you have three options for setting out your tent:
Standard Set Out Practices: Use a string line to establish the correct position.
Surveyor Assistance: Provide your original masterplan and our Eco Anchor Layout (GA Drawing) to your surveyors. They will use this information to mark the exact spot with pegs.
JIG Frame: For large unit orders, purchase a JIG frame through Eco Structures. This option helps ensure that your cabin's footing layout remains square and accurate.
Based on your original order and geo tech report, you'll know whether to use eco anchors or concrete footings. For eco anchors, check out our video guide—it's as simple as driving 4 x 1m rods into the ground with a pneumatic hammer. If you're going with concrete footings, just ask your external contractor for their process.
Our tents sit 600mm above the ground, so you can do civil work either before or after installation, depending on your schedule. If using eco anchors, just avoid large trenches within a 1m² area around each anchor.
