Located on Bunuba Country near Fitzroy in Western Australia, this project supports a groundbreaking new model of Indigenous education delivered on-country, in genuine partnership with local communities. For this remote setting, Eco Structures supplied a series of Gazebos and 6.3m Link Eco Tents, designed to create safe, durable residential learning environments that respect culture, Country and community.
Each structure is supported by our patented Eco Anchor system — a concrete-free footing solution ideally suited to sloped and remote sites. This system enabled efficient installation with minimal site disturbance. The tents are fitted with vinyl flooring and composite decking, providing resilient, low-maintenance spaces that support year-round learning and living in challenging environments.
Working alongside project partners, we delivered an accommodation solution that supports education outcomes while preserving the integrity of the surrounding landscape and cultural context.
The Studio Schools model represents a new approach to Indigenous education — integrating academic learning with personal development, culture and industry pathways. These Eco Tents form part of a residential, on-country learning environment that keeps students close to family and community while strengthening language, identity and wellbeing.
Designed for fast deployment, long-term durability and minimal environmental impact, the structures demonstrate how thoughtful infrastructure can support meaningful, community-led change.
