Overview

WABi Systems’ foundation is based on finding a smarter, stronger, and simpler method to the typical construction approach. It incorporates several key values; to retain the local site ecology, achieve high thermal resistance, stimulate local jobs, and be effortlessly constructed with minimal tools and time.

Assembling a WABi is much like a building a flat-pack, every element has been meticulously engineered to work in unison, from our thermally insulated panels, eco anchors footings and doors and windows. Local community members can piece structure(s) together at remarkable speed using our customised installation assembly drawings and our teams’ assistance.

With our efficient designs, patented systems and construction techniques the WABi System is an emerging, global leader in sustainability and eco-friendly housing.

The Flatpack System

Unlike most other building methods and systems, WABi doesn’t require the site to be level, or cleared. Built on stumps, a standard WABi structure has a floor level approximately 60cm (2ft) above its base plates. This means, we remove the need for concrete and bulk earthworks – across most sites, except rock. Designed to be swiftly and easily assembled, the WABi system is configured around 600-900mm grid of WABi wall panels. These wall panels are 2400 or 2700 high and can be interconnected in multiple configurations. This flexibility allows you to grow and retrofit our WABi designs, slicing and dicing to suit any design brief. Out structural galvanised steel framework is extremely robust and 100% non-toxic and endlessly recyclable. Our patented steel fabrication parts are transported separately and stitched together on-site, using our customised installation assembly drawings. The WABi system is complemented by a pre-finished modular Bathpod that can be shipped with your WABi structure and integrated into the module. Additional decks, awnings, window and sliding door options allow your WABi to become a totally unique design.
